When name of the company was kept as Cheers Food & Beverages in 1998, entering into food was never in our immediate agenda. Though vision was that someday we will enter in food segment also. After 10 years, Cheers Food & Beverages has entered in food category with special functional foods in a niche market under the brand name of ‘Wheafree’ wheat and gluten free products for Celiac patients. The need of such products arose when daughter of Mr. H.P.S.Lamba (Chief Executive Officer) was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and he faced problems in getting products in India labelled as wheat, gluten free. Either he had to look towards U.S or Europe to arrange such products or he was to remain satisfied by serving Rice or Maize Flour. Unfortunately, the products from Western Countries were never designed in keeping Indian taste in mind.

In India due to non availability of testing facilities and lack of awareness, no manufacturer took seriously in labelling their products as Gluten Free. But now due to incidence of Celiac Disease on rise, there was a need to seriously produce complete range of products which are affordable, tasty and cover the complete spectrum of needs of a patient who can be child or an adult.

Mrs. Deepika Lamba developed gluten free products with her culinary skills and with lot of motherly love which tasted as good as other wheat products and then an idea came to share these products with other celiac patients.

Wheafree products are periodically checked clinically regarding presence of gluten by imported kits from UK. Expert opinion of leading Gastroenterologists and Nutritionists are taken time to time to improve the energy values as well as taste.

Wheafree Products are specially produced in most hygienic controlled wheat and gluten free environment keeping strict check on ingredients which are sourced from the suppliers after getting them certified of being gluten free.
